No where else in the world are there such a multitude gathering of sick people as in Lourdes. They are the privileged people, so well cared for. Each sick person always has a helper, sometimes more. They take part in different liturgies and processions. They are positioned always, in the front of all these activities.

They come hoping for a miracle or a cure but if it is not granted to them, they do not go away disappointed. They understand that it is not necessarily the physical thing that’s being healed, it’s actually the coming to terms with their disabilities. As they leave one can see the joy in their eyes, a sense of understanding and peace.
